Just reach Kathmandu, got my info clear and I am now looking for a hiker partner willing to share the cost of a porter from lukla to lukla ( Gokyo, kalapatar, EBC)
Porter rate is 15 USD per day for 16 kg that could be split in two.
Do not hesitate to drop me a line if interested. I am à french native speaking woman who like to walk slow but can go for hours happily. Did the trek in 2008 but not through Cho-La at that time though.
Haven’t book my ticket to Lukla yet: I am also open for thé road option to reach just bélow lukla ( jeep Kathmandu to sollerie then start walking from there ). I am quite flexible with departure date, way of reaching lukla, route to bé taken and number of trekking days.
Booking fly isn’t à problem, no shortage of seat nowadays. For those who are wondering, flight khtmdu to Lukla is about 160 USD while jeep khtmdu to Sollerie is about 20 USD. Let me know if you want to share this EBC adventure

Hi Charly, I belive you had/about to end your EBC trek. One ques: the porter also acts as guide or he is just a porter? How much is guide come porter?
If its my first time trekking in Nepal, can I complete EBC only with a porter or I must need a guide?
