Dharamsala is one of the most popular starting points for treks and Rock climbing over the ridges of the Dhauladhar range. There are tailor-made treks in the Kangra valley around Dharamsala and adjoining places. The trekking season starts from May and goes on to October. The most frequented route from Dharamsala to the Chamba valley, over the Indradhar Pass (4,350m), is arduous trek but the most novice trekkers can manage to complete it within five days.

There are many easy walks of small treks around Mcleodganj and Dharamsala such as Toral Pass (4,575m) that start from Tang Narwana (1,150m), which is 10-km from Dharamsala. A 2-km stroll takes one to Bhagsu, then a little further a 3-km walk will bring the trekkers to Dharamkot. If one wishes to go on a longer walk then he can walk 8-km to Triund. The snow line of Ilaqa Got is just a 5-km walk.

Day 01 Dharmshala Airport & Mcleodganj
Arriving in Dharmshala Airport in the afternoon. Then transfer by coach to �Mcleodganj the spiritual home of his Holiness the Dalai Lama. There we will be some free time today to explore this fascinating town, before we meet later in the evening for dinner and a briefing for the start of our Trek tomorrow. Ovennight at Hotel

Day 02: Mcleodganj to Triund (2875): 9km
This is a very well defined and an easy trek which passes through the Dharamkot village and Galu Devi and then to Triund. This is one of the best trekking routes which gains a height of about 1000 m. in a distance of 9 km. triund ia also know as the base camp for the trekkers who take on to this route over Indrahar Pass to Bharmour. This is one of the charming places from where the view towards Kangra valley and Dharamshala are delectable. One can enjoy the night view of the glittering lights of Dharamshala town which makes the whole scene unique and memorable.

Day 03 : Triund – Lahes Cave (3700m)…7km
This is an acclimatization day. After a short ascent from Triund traverse a ridge to reach Laka Got � a temporary shephard camp. Laka Got is situated at the snout of a small glacier , which is full of snow and ice in early summer and the snow melts away during the monsoon. From Laka Got it is a steep ascent for 2 km over a rocky ridge to reach Lahes cave. Night stay inthe cave or comp at Laka Got.

Day 04 : Lahes cave – Inderhara pass (4300m) – Ilaka Got
Start early in the morning, the waether gets bad in the afternoon. Inthe early summer (April to May) the trail is full of snow and ice and reqiure good equipment. During post mansoon (September to November) there is no snow or ice and there is narrow trail going uo to the pass. Il takes about three hours to the pass and another three hours to come down. From the pass entire Pir Panjal range of central Himalayas is a sidht to behold. Back to Laka Got For Panjal range of central Himalayas is a sight to behold. Back to Laka Got for night stay.

Day 05: Ilaka Gote to Guna Devi (2310 m) via Jari Gote or Ani Gote: 13 km.
The route to Jari Gote and Ani Gote descends from north of Illaqua Gote through a hard snow, which is about 3 km. one can camp in tents at this place. One has to walk on this route in deep snow until the end of May. At Guna Devi there is a small temple of Goddess Kali, with two shrines that accommodates about 25 to 30 persons. Electricity and water is available in this temple. Devotees of Kali from various parts of Dharamsala region throng this place for worship.

Day 06: Guna Devi to Mcleodganj (8 km)
One can come back from Guna Devi to McLeod ganj via Balh, Galu and Naddi villages on a well marked 8 km trek path the total distance in only 8 km.FO
