  1. Hi Tamara, You sound like the kind of pilgrim wanderer that I would enjoy sharing a Nepal experience with. I am flexible on dates as I am going to spend October and November in Nepal. During these 2 months in Nepal I will do the Annapurna Circut and then make a decision on what else to look at and explore … Your Three Passes Trek would be perfect in terms of my timing …. I am absolutely open to all ideas and I love photography and am an absolute advocate of taking ones time to smell the roses and enjoy the people and places visited … and of course having fun, friendship and laughter with like minded people who believe in spreading love and kindness and in being empathetic and compassionate along the way … I have Scottish heritage and ancestry coming from pioneering and missionary stock and I was born in Zimbabwe in Africa although I now call, Australia home … it would be so great to meet with you and share an adventure … give me a yell … I am away in France and Spain doing the French Camino leaving 21 April and returning to Australia 10th June … My Nepal adventure will be October and November months …. Last year 2016 I walked your Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine / Kathadin which was tough going and took 5 monthsbut I loved it …. I am planning on doing your USA Pacific Crest Trail in 2018 ….. so common Nepal …. lets do this ….. if you are keen please give me a shout … Gordon

  2. Hi Tamara,

My name is Olga and I am from London.

I am thinking about doing a trek in Nepal around Oct – Nov this year and I am looking for a partner too. I am fairly flexible on dates as I haven’t booked my flights yet.

I have never been to Nepal but I have done long distance treks in the Alps and doing two more this summer there.

I work in Music Industry as a copyright licensing agent. I am an outgoing happy person but like you I don’t like talking much while hiking.

Please let me know if you are still looking for a partner.

    Many thanks,

  3. Hi Tamara,

I’m Ryan, im from SE Asia..

I and my friend are planning to do the EBC-Gokyo trek in November as well.. We are doing it solo, without guide or porter and we are also looking for independent partners to join with..
We plan to complete the trek in 17-18 days..We reach Kathmandu on the 7th Nov and we would be flying in to Lukla on the morning of 11/8 and plan to return to Lukla on the 23rd Nov.

We plan to do this trek in a relaxed pace while soaking up the majestic views of the Himalayas. We are easy going and down to earth..flexible too.

Please do drop a message if we are able to team up.. Cheers !! 🙂

    Ryan R

  4. Hi Tamara,

I also plan my trip around that time. I’m from Belgium. I work in the pharma field. I enjoy the casual talk but I do prefer silence when doing long walks :). Leaving around 30/10 and coming back around 26/11. I still need to confirm flight tickets so I got some flexibility there.

I have some previous experience outside Nepal.

    Drop a line 🙂

  5. HI fellow trekkers,

I have plans to trek manaslu circuit and Tsum Valley starting november 3rd or 4th. I also wants to do 3 passes or EBC and gokyo lake. If my plans doesn’t workout then I will join you guys. There is a 2 people requirement to obtain permits to enter manaslu region but it is the most beautiful trek in the region. Please take a look. Let me know if you guys would like to join.

  6. Hello Tamara and others,
Me and my boyfriend (Dutch and Brazilian) are flying into Kathmandu 5th of November. Probably will fly to Lukla 7 or 8 November. From Lukla we want to start the 3 passes trek, probably spend a day there organizing. We did 2 treks earlier this year in the himalayas in India. We want to do 3 passes without guide, will do a lot of reading beforehand. I’ve done Annapurna years ago with guide and think it’s very feasible to trek without guide in Nepal.
Me and Cris want to do a bit of pranayama and yoga in the morning during the trek. I’m a scientist (microbiology) and also yoga teacher and shiatsu therapist (can offer shiatsu during trek ;o)). Just want to enjoy the amazing scenery with a few others. Let me know who’s interested sharing this amazing experience.

  7. Hello guys,
with a friend we are heading to Nepal November, 9th. Time to arrive and then flying to Lukla 🙂 Our idea is to complete 3 passes and if it is possible to climb Island Peak, but that it is absolutely not sure and we would love to find a guide in Chukkung. Hope to meet someone! 🙂

  8. Hello Tamara and others.
I’m planning on the 3 passes trek at about the same time as you, but heading in from Jiri first to get my walking legs on. Plan to be at Namche anytime in the first week of November. Thereafter spending about 3 weeks to do the 3 passes in an anti-clockwise direction, but I’m not under any time pressure and hope to take it as it comes and in a chilled manner.
Keen to share some or all of the trek with like-minded souls, so drop me a line if interested.
    Cheers, Andy

  12. Hey Tamara & others on the thread!

Can we try and meet once this weekend (28th oct) in Kat and figure out dates, logistics etc? Dunno how many of us are trying this rather emm adventurous trek in Nov but it would be nice to get to know who we are and what we intend to do. Start dates are kinda flex if in the Nov 2-5th range. Fly or walk to lukla? I’d be open to either.

Tamara – thank you for starting the thread & others for replying.

Suggestions for meetup – open to dates/venues in Katmandu. I will be staying near the monkey temple, jfyi. Thanks!
