Three Passes Trek

Just to update on the below – I have now book on to a group tour so have changed the listing as Trip Closed but you are more than welcome to join the group we are booked with.

I am from England and I’m currently travelling with my boyfriend (from N.Ireland).

We will be in Nepal 1st November 2016 for 1 month and we are planning to do the Three Passes Trek (including EBC) and it would be great to do it as part of a group. We are open to doing the trek either as an organised tour or independently sharing the cost of a guide and or porter. On our travels so far we have done some 1 to 3 day treks in India, Vietnam and Laos – and it’s always been even more fun when part of a group.

We both have pretty good fitness levels, are non-smokers and in our mid-30’s.

We are allowing for 16 to 20 days to do the trek and budget wise hoping for $60 per day, per person.

Ideally we would like a few days in Kathmandu before starting the trek so departure would be anything after 3rd November 2016.

If you have any questions or would like to be part of a group then please get in touch.

Clare (and Chris)

  1. Hi Clare!

I’m Ciara, I’m 29 & I’m from Dublin in Ireland. I have similar plans to you guys so just wondering if you’d like to join forces 🙂

I arrive in Kathmandu on November 2nd and am hoping to tackle the Three Passes as independently as possible, maybe with the help of a porter-guide or whatever.

I’m reasonably fit and have a little experience trekking at altitude in the Andes. Hoping to do the trek as cheaply as possible, take it at a moderate pace and snap a lot of photos 🙂

Let me know if you’d like to form a group….or even just check in for safety at the end of the day!

    • Hi Ciara,

Thanks for getting in touch. I have decided to book us to a join group trek now, there were already 2 other people confirmed in the group and the trekking company rated early highly on Trip Advisor.

It’s probably a bit more than I was looking to spend (cost per person is $1245, €1090 or £ 960 depending what currency your using) but it includes the flights to Lukla from Kathmandu, accommodation in tea houses for the trek, food, trekking passes, sleeping, down jacket, airport pick up from Kathmandu….the whole lot. As we are already travelling it just made things a bit easier and since booking the guys have been really helpful keeping in touch with what’s app and email to answer my millions of questions!!

If you are interested and decide you want to join the group then contact Raj from Green Valley Nepal treks. The trip start date is 6th November, duration 17 days.

Or if you just fancy meeting up in Kathmandu before and after trekking to exchange stories and experiences then let me know. I am going to be arriving in Nepal on 29th October so have some time in Kathmandu before the trek starts and then leaving on 28th November.

      Happy Travels

      Clare 🙂
