The Pyrenean Haute Route (or HRP for Haute Randonnée Pyrénéenne)

Hi all,

I am looking for a partner for a challenging unmarked trek across the Pyrenees. It is a 45 day up-and-down trek crossing the Pyrenees sea to sea. I originally planned this for next year, but my work is hibernating under COVID, so I am trying to make the most of not having a plan for the first time in my life.

It will require camping, navigation, food carrying, stamina and a lot of optimism. I don’t want the trek to be about speed, but about experience.

Ideally, departing as soon as possible = when traveling is officially allowed in France again this summer. This could be in two weeks or in 1 month.

If this sounds like an interesting plan that you would find the time for, please let me know!

  1. Hola! I’m interested. Now I am in Barcelona and my study will finish soon. I’d love to talk more for details. 🙂

    • Hello,
I would be more than happy to chat with you about it. I am planning to depart from Hendaye on Sunday next week actually. Have you done any thru-hikes before? Please don’t hesitate ask any questions (might be better through a direct message). Happy Sunday! Cheers,
