The Annapurna Circut Trek

Hello!!

I am Jaime, from Madrid (Spain).

I am looking for a partner who wants to join me in this adventure and to build it with me.

I’m planning to make this trip during the best season (September-October) in order to be able (or have more chances) to see the mountains 😊. (We can discuss dates! And we will discuss budget too)
Also I’m thinking on arranging the trip without guide and porters. I’m thinking about this trip as an opportunity to know more about Nepal and it’s people too. So, unless I’m really really tired, almost dying, I’d like to sleep at their houses and eating typical food.

Just to present myself: I am 29, who enjoys the nature, outdoor activities, discover new cultures, talk to new people, and of course, who enjoys a good meal!! 😀 And I see mountaineering as an sport but also as a way to know cultures, and as a way of life, more into and respectful with nature and all the people. I have done many mountaineering trips, but never been in Asia! 😀 My pace is normal, the one that allows to talk.

  1. Hola Jaime,

I’m also aiming to do the trek later this year but slightly behind my fitness schedule. I’m too from Spain. Let’s connect and discuss plans.

    • Hello Vinay! I am still planning the trip. I’ve also come across the Mera Peak expedition and also gathering info about it. Both would be on the same period (preferably for the weather October, 2019)

  2. Hi jaime
Sounds like you have similar plans to me regarding the trekking, will you be building up to some of the easier ‘climbs’ later ??
Hope to arrive at the start of september.
If it sounds possible let me no and i will tell you more about myself and experiences

  3. Hello Craig! Yes. I’m planning to climb the Mera Peak, as it seems to be an ‘easy’ hike. Of course I’d do it with a guide, but I need some mates to do it – and share the costs. That’s why I’m thinking about which hike I’ll finally do.

  4. That one also sounds good to me, I will try to get probably 2 more in before that where guides are not needed, maybe manaslu i like the look of that (but you need also a guide)
Maybe chulu east or island peak to finish but that will depend on cash ofcourse.
Ofcourse closer the time we can get a bit more certain planning in, but lets stay in touch

  5. Hi Jamie and everyone else who is interested.

I am also planning to head to Nepal around this time of year and was interested in hiking the Annapurna circuit and would love to add on a peak as an extra side trip. For the peaks so far I have looked at Chulu East or Mera peak.

I like camping but have read that most people just stay in guest houses on the circuit?

Im British but am learning Spanish at the moment so travelling with Spanish speakers would be great for me.

Drop me a message if you want to share plans futher.

    • Hi matt
      Nice that you join us.
For peaks after im also looking at mera and island peak as you can combine these 2 on the same trip.
If where all active on this messsge board should we have a whatts app group??

  6. A whatsapp group sounds like a good start.
    My number is +447985527132

Im looking to start around the 1st September

  7. Hi all
I am flying to Kathmandu on 28th August and landing on following day. I have been living in England for last 20 years originally from Nepal. I will stay in few days in Kathmandu to meet my family and friends. I am planning to start my trek on 2nd of September. Everest base camp or Annapurna , one of them is in my mind. my whats app is +447796673370. Lets in touch

  8. Hi guys! I’m Elle, 23 from Australia.

I’m arriving in Nepal on the 17th August, so not looking to start the hike (Annapurna Circuit) until say the 19th-20th. I’m looking to teahouse trek on a minimal budget. Depending on acclimatisation, I’m probably looking roughly a 2 week window to complete the trek.

Jaime when are you looking at departing? 🙂

  9. Oops I mean 17th September! Haha

    • Not heading to Nepal now, already in S/E asia but will be doing plenty of trekingans climbing if you wsnt to join after 😉
