Te Araroa
I plan to do a thru hike of the Te Araroa starting around December 10. Please let me know if you are interested!! I have more planning to do for this trek and wouldn’t mind having some help!!

Hey Lucas.
I’ve have begun plans to hike this same trail, however probably not until next year as I have a lot of training and planning that still has to be done.
However, I was wondering if you wanted to share a bit on your planning. (gear list, daily kms, flights, etc.)
I’m new to this whole thing and I’ve been looking everywhere for someone who is also planning this tramp.

Well to be completely honest with you, the only thing I have so far is my airline ticket!! I have set it up for December 9, 2015. I am very new to this as well and I am hoping to rely heavy on my training from the military to get through it. I will be testing gear over the next few months in preparation. I have purchased and began reading the Te Araroa Guide Book and it has quite a bit of info. Why wait til next year? I have been waiting “til next year” for quite some time!
