Tamang and Langtang

Hey everybody,

I’m Valentin, a 28 years old french guy. Back in France I’m a documentary filmmaker. After 3 months in India, I arrived in Nepal and I’m planning a trek in Tamang and Langtang areas.

The reason why I’m heading to these areas is because there’re apparently not only about wonderful landscapes but also about crossing some villages and getting to know the Langtang Tibetan culture. It’s also supposed to be less crowded.

I’ll be going anyway but I’m looking for 1 or 2 partners, preferably solo and long term travellers :)I’m planning to do it without a guide, and on a budget. The itinerary is flexible also, as it’s possible to combine the Langtang and Tamang treks. It could last from 6 to 12 days.

I don’t have camping gear, so I’m planning to stay at tea houses and homestays.

The date of departure is flexible but I’d like to start soon ! It’s just about getting the permits and heading to Syapru Besi, 7 hours from Kathmandu.

I’m right now in Kathmandu, so if you’re here too, we could just meet and discuss it in person!

Cheers,

  1. Aloha Valentin, I’m thinking something similar though starting out ~Nov 22 from Kathmandu. Syabrubesi is where the paths meet, so perhaps I’ll see you there after you finish part one. I don’t mind which part comes first (Langtang vs Tamang), and would be happy to join up for a leg if it works out. Either way, I hope you enjoy your walk!
