Sikkim Westbengal Darjeeling
Hi trekking buddies. This time it will be Sikkim and Westbengal. Usually one does the GoechaLa trek (well organized possible as solo treker) or the Singalila Ridge – Kamchenjunga NP Trek, for which you need a guide and at least 2 trekkers as far as I have read. But I would like to combine the two! The connecting part would be off the marked path but it is being done – and would need camping and cooking gear as well as food supplies carried along. I think You can easily do it in 16 – 18 days. I can walk 7 – 8hrs a day carrying my own backpack (without camping gear other than sleeping bag). Uphill a bit slower pace, but level I walk a good pace. And I am a long distance hiker, so rather a bit slower but keep going. Still wish to enjoy the beautiful scenery and visiting gompas and temples ecc. I think best time is End of April beginning of May for the blossoms of the Rhododendron. Who would like to join? Would try to do it on a shoestring but not exploiting the local people and guides, still be fair in the price. I will arrive at Bagdogar Airport, flying in from Delhi or Calcutta.

So far no interest? Does anyone know it it is possible to join a group on the spot, when arriving in Darjeeling? I will for sure now arrive in Bagdogar 12th April and leave on 4th May 2023.
