I am looking for trekking partner / some one to share permit with . I arrive in KTM on 08th October at 10pm and after a day in Thamel, i plan to leave for Lukla/ Mera Peak on 10th October. Let me know if anyone would be interested to join me for the trip. We would be able to share Climbing Guide, Porter and reduce costs significantly.

    Hi Aalok, I am currently thinking about Gokio Ri and Island Peak – but I am still flexible in my plans. Is Mera Peak worth it? Time and plane would fit.

    I am 29 and have experience in hiking in Austria and I am in good shape.

    I had been to Everest Base Camp , Gokyo Ri and Island Peak in September 2013 and absolutely loved it .

    I must say Mera peak is definitely worth it however i must say it it is more challenging that the hike up to Island Peak.

    Being fit is definitely important and i feel overall i guess the trek to Mera Peak is very similar to island peak except for the last 500 mts on the mountain.
