Manasula, Tsum Valley, maybe some Annapurna

We are a couple keen on hiking the Manasula area due to it being a little more remote than other areas in Nepal. We have some hiking experience in NZ, Australia and Japan and are keen to team up with whoever is interested in the area around this time.

We hear that the Manasula / Tsum Valley part could be completed in around 20 days but if the weather is good and we’re having a great time we may add on some of the Annapurna.

  1. Hi Jamie!

We’ll be arriving in KTM on the 17th and are looking to start a hike around the 20th. We were initially thinking Annapurna but are now more interested in the less crowded Manaslu. We’ve probably got 18-21 days to spare and would love to get together with a small group. Our preference would be to pack light and do this as a teahouse trek. If you guys interested in meeting up drop a line!

  2. Hi Nate, yep we’re keen. Starting around the 20th sounds good. I think for the most part we are keen to stay in teahouses but we’ll take our tent as a backup. I think our preference is not to have a guide but we’ll do a little more research tomorrow and figure out what is needed as far as permits go. There’s a chance we’ll head out of Kathmandu in the next few days as this is our 3rd day here but at the very least could meet up in Arughat before the start. If we do stay in town we could catch up over some beers.

  3. Hey Guys,
have you already left for this trip?

    Hi Claire,

I’m not on their trip but I met with them before they left, and they have departed. Just missed them 🙂
