Hi all,

I’m looking for hiking buddies for the Manaslu circuit with a trip to the Tsum Valley for a total of about 20 days between 3/16 and 4/11.

I’d like to split the fees for a guide and am open to a porter as well.

  1. Hi Emile!

My name is Casey and I’m from New York, but I live in Japan with my wife (she’s Japanese and speaks English fluently). We’ve just booked our flight and so are planning to arrive in Kathmandu on 3/27 and start the trek as soon as we can.

We can share more about ourselves and experience later, but I just wanted to see if you’re willing to stretch your starting window by a few days. We would also love to check out the Tsum Valley and are hoping to find someone to split the guide fees with.

Let me know if that sounds like it might work for you!

    • Hi Casey,
I would much like to do Manaslu and Tsum Valley. If you look at the list of trips, “Jackie” is starting a Manaslu on 01 April but is NOT doing Tsum.
Perhaps we could all hike Manaslu and when we get back to the beginning, Jackie leaves with her guide (for Everest), we procure our own guide and continue to the Tsum Valley.
      Sound like a possiblilty?

      Pat R.

  2. Hi Casey!

Thank you for responding 🙂 Unfortunately, my boss gave me a window of mid-March to mid April, so I just booked my flights to get in on the 15th.

Good luck with your trek planning!

  3. Hi Emile,

No worries! Hope that you have an incredible trip! 🙂

    Safe travels,

  4. You dates would work for me. I very much want to get some Tsum valley along with Manaslu. I’m definitely looking for budget. Guide only. You can check out my profile. I can keep up the pace no problem but If you would rather trek with a younger person I understand and take no offense at all.

  5. Hi Emile,

I’m also flying in on the 15th (arriving late at night) & looking to do the Manaslu/Tsum Valley trek & the dates would work for me (I’ll be in Nepal for 3 months so dates are flexible).

Ideally, I’d prefer a guide only (I usually carry my own gear), but if anyone wants to split for a Porter/Porter-Guide I could always offload a few pounds.

Also, would prefer a small group – 2 to 4 people max would be ideal.

Let me know if you or anyone else is still interested.

    Cheers & Namaste.

  6. Hi All,
I am Peter from Sweden and will arrive KTM March 16 and also interested in Manaslu/Tsum Valley trek with a smaller group.

  7. Hi Emile,
I plan to do the Manaslu/Tsum trek around the same time as you but I can only start from 23 march. I have already contacted a guide here in Kathmandu with who I wish to do the trek We have Also discussied about the possibility of extending the trek of some more days when a place is really Nice and having the possiblity of exploring the surroundings.
So for me, there is no fixed number of days to do it.
I m a very wel experienced trekker, fit and I usualy trek on my own but for this trek I m looking for one or two trekkingpartner .to do it together
Hope to hear from you, and maybe we meet later on here in Nepal.
