Manaslu Circuit Trek/Tsum Valley
I am currently living in Patan, Nepal where I am an artist and researcher. I plan to take a break from my work here to trek in the Manaslu/Tsum Valley area. I would like to begin a trek between November 18-21, and will need to be back in Kathmandu by December 8th. This gives me 18-21 days, though the trek need not be that long. I would like to stay in teahouses/lodges. I’ve always carried my own bags in the past, but if my trekking buddy is open to it, I would love to share a porter between both of us to lighten our load and be able to enjoy ourselves a bit more. We will need a guide as well.
I was initially thinking about doing the Manaslu Circuit, but I have been hearing wonderful things about Tsum Valley.
I am a moderately paced trekker. I don’t mind long days, but I also enjoy taking a few photos and short breaks to take in the views and culture. I speak a bit of both Nepali and Tibetan so I usually chat playfully with local people along the route. It makes it more fun. 🙂
If this sounds about your speed, let’s talk plans and meet up!
UPDATE: I met a few great folks to trek with and we head out soon. Happy trekking, everyone! 🙂Reply
