Manaslu Circuit Trek

We are 2 young (26 & 28) guys from Poland and Slovakia arriving to Kathmandu on 9th of April. We are planning to do Manaslu Circuit trek, possibly with Tsum Valley, preferably starting on 11th. Never before have we been to Himalayas, but we are fit and both have a lot of trekking experience in general. Doing things on our own and flexibly seems more fun for us, so we’re just looking at hiring a guide (not only because it’s necessary, also for the true experience) rather than a whole package trip, but we’re happy to consider every option. Most things are not decided yet, but we want to spend up to 20 days doing it. We’re trying to keep the costs rather low, but don’t want to count every cent either, so the budget is still unknown. I am a 29-year old Irish guy and am planning to do Manaslu soon with a friend from Belgium. It’s our first time in Himalaya too, and he has good experience trekking in other places, while I have some.
Our plan is very similar to yours – enjoy the experience of being with a local guide and keep costs low without counting every rupee. And maybe adding Tsum valley on to the trip…
We are currently in Kathmandu, and have found someone who can organise a guide and permits for us at a reasonable cost. But we would like to expand the group to 3-4 trekkers plus guide.
Ideally, we prefer to leave before the 11th – is this the earliest date you can go?

I think we’d be very happy to join you, as our plans are very similar.
I am however arriving on 9th in the afternoon – no chance for me to make it earlier. We could leave on 10th but I assumed that getting the permits and so would take at least a day in Kathmandu but maybe I’m wrong…. It would be great if you could wait for us!

Hello guys, If you are interested only Manaslu circuit and back to Kathmandu or continue to Annapurna circuit instead of hiking same way to Tsum valley and back, please let me know. You can add another adventure of crossing Thorong La 5416m and arrive in amazing city Pokhara. While we already have Annapurna circuit permits as well it might be quite interesting. I do have a friendly, young and fit lady from Germany and willing to have some partner. Hi! I’m currently in Kathmandu and would like to do manaslu. We are two people, 33 and 24 years old from USA and Netherlands. We have both trekked before, and are looking for a group to share the cost of a guide and to meet new people. We would like to leave the 10th to arughat. Any ideas?
