Manang in August

Hey there.

Im planning to do a little trek to the Manang Valley this late summer. Im going there with my sister. But we are looking for more people to join us on the trek. The trek will last from 14-16 days, as we are planning to spend a couple of days in the valley.

If you should be interested, please contact me:)

  1. Hi Kia, I am looking to do some trekking in August and your dates match my schedule, so would like to join forces!
I was concerned about the rains in Nepal as August sees quite a bit of monsoon showers on most routes – not sure about the weather conditions on this route.
Could you kindly share additional details of your itinerary if interested?
I am 26, male, working in Bangalore (India). I have fair bit of trekking experience (last one being the Everest base camp route in 2012).

  2. Hey there Kia, Pawan
Manang is a fabulous place! There are so many trails and place to see! Excellent Choice!
Yes, you are right pawan, with the monsoon, the trail leading to Manang will be wet and muddy. Slippery at places too. As with the current weather situation, it rains in the morning and the evening around the lower elevation. During the day is sunny and hot. Manang itself does not see that much rain. Have a great trip!

  3. Hey Guys,

Just to let you know that the road to Chame in Manang, has been damaged by recent rainfall. So if you guys were thinking of taking part of the trek on a bus or a jeep, then you need to consider serious walking. I also have alternative routes to Manang if you are interested. Get in touch,

  4. Hi, I’m currently in Kathmandu looking to get on a trek asap. I didn’t plan on coming here so I have made no plans so far! If you are still planning on a trek let me know. (28 year old British guy)
