Makalu – Everest Ice Col Trek

Hi! I am planning to trek Makalu – Everest traverse, via the three passes (East/West Col & Sherpani) this November (also known as Ice Col trek).
This would be a typical tea-house trek, with enough time to soak in sights and local culture. The major expenses would be the trek permit (TIMS), internal travel to and from KTM, food, renting alpine gear. I am perfectly fine with even the basic accommodation and food.
I am planning for this trek to be nice winter fun. Most of the logistics has been already planned, the daily itinerary, gear list, food rationing. I haven’t booked my Nepal air tickets yet.
This is a hard trek and uniquely beautiful as well.
If this sounds like your trek plan, PM me for more info!

  1. Hi Viv,

Mid November is too late for this trek as all the tea houses will be closed in the upper regions.

    Cheers & Happy Outdoors!
