Langtang Valley Trek
This is a custom trek that will cover a lot more territory than the standard Langtang Valley trek. (trekkingpartners.com has limited options as far as route titles you can post.) We will spend 4 days on the Tamang Heritage trek and then 4 days on the Langtang Valley trails. This will give us a chance to get in shape and enjoy the local culture. When we arrive at the end of the Langtang Valley we hike up to Tserko Ri, a 4984 meter (16.350 ft) summit The next day we will head to towards Yala Peak. Yala Peak is a trekking peak with an elevation of 5700 meters (18,700 ft). It is a little bit technical requiring some climbing gear: rope, crampons and ice axe (which will be provided). Anyone in the group can sit out the climbs if they’re not feeling up to it.
Once we’ve climbed Yala we sill spend 2 days trekking to Ganja La pass, 5130 meter (16,825 ft). There will be 5 or 6 camping days, the rest of the days we will be staying in teahouses.
Right now there are 2 people confirmed. The plan is for a maximum of 5 people. The price includes the guide, porters, camping equipment, food, transportation and climbing guide for Yala Peak and Ganja La pass. I’ve used the guide many times before and can vouch for their competence and trustworthiness. This is going to be a challenging trek with some stunning views for our reward. This trek will be an adventure and true cultural experience.
