Markha Valley and Stok Kangri summit

Hi there,
I am planning to trek Markha Valley and climb/trek Stok Kangri peak in Leh in Aug 2018 by myself, if anyone interested to join, it would be great. I’ll be arriving Leh on 17th and plan to start the trek on 19th Aug, take it slow and easy.
I’m 33 Vietnamese female, small but fairly fit and have some 5000+ trekking experience but no climbing experience. As I heard, Stok Kangri will not be difficult to climb if you’re well prepared and acclimatized
I also prefer to hire a good and affordable guide if I can find any.
You can join with me a full or part of the trip
Here is the reference schedule:

Day 1: Chilling – Skiu
Day 2: Skiu – Markha
Day 3: Markha – Hankar
Day 4: Hankar – Nimaling
Day 5: Nimaling – Kongmaru La – Chogdo
Day 6: Chogdo – Gyuncho La – Shang Phu
Day 7: Shang Phu – Shang La – Gangpoche
Day 8: Gangpoche – Matho La – Mankarmo
Day 9: Mankarmo – Base Camp
Day 10: Rest day and time for final preparations
Day 11: Base Camp – Stok Kangri Summit – Base Camp
Day 12: Base Camp – Stok

  1. Hi! Greetings, if you are arriving on 17th in leh, then you must start by 24-25th…instead 19. If you really want to enjoy altitudes of stok kangari & avoid suffering, then either you should take a long trek like markha or you should cycle up to khardungla pass in between, before any attempt to stok. All the best!

    • Hi Yogendra, you’re right!!!
After look it up and did some research, i decided to to a cycle Markha valley and Stok in 12 days. I really want to spend time on the mountain and enjoy the altitude as much as i can.
      Thank you
