Jiri to Gokyo – looking for trekking companions

Hey folks. My name is Alex, I’m a 25 year old guy from Germany. Unfortunately my friends can’t join me, so I’m looking for some friendly and easy going people to trek with. I’m going to arrive in Kathmandu on April 8th and I will be departing again on April 30th (not flexible). First I thought about doing the ABC trek with Poon Hill, but only trekking the ABC would be a little bit short for that duration. 🙂
So my second thought was trekking in the Everest Region. There, I would like to do a 19 day trek from Jiri to Gokyo and back to Lukla. From Namche Bazar, I planned to circuit the Kyajo Rito, visit the Gokyo-Seas aswell and if there’s any time left maybe climb up Gokyo Ri.
I’m into independent trekking and would like to go without guide. Last year I did the Annapurna circuit and also gathered some trekking experience in Europe. So just drop me a line if you’re interested.

Cheers, Alex

  1. Hi Alex, I am landing in Nepal on the 28th Feb and will be there for two months. Looking to do a hike for maybe a week or more, what duration are you interested in? Also, I am looking for a trail that is off the beaten track so there will be relatively little tourists (the indigenous people trail or the Numbar cheese circuit for example). Is this something that interests you? I am a recent graduate so will also be on a very tight budget, however would be interested in getting a porter as I wouldn’t be able to carry my whole stuff.

Hope to hear from you soon

  5. Hi Alex,
your plan sounds good to me! Currently I am staying in Pokhara, planning the AC (hopefully with some trekking companions). I want to fly to Kathmandu right after finishing the trek, so maybe around April 7th, so we could meet on 8th or 9th of April to discuss the plan.
I am a 21 year old solo traveller from Berlin and very relaxed and friendly.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
