Hi guys my names Lee (27) from the UK, I’m looking at trekking around the Everest area before the monsoons really begin to kick in at the end of the month, most people fly in to Lukla and begin their trek there but I have heard and read great things about the trek from JIri.

Not only will we be following in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hilary but we will also be getting away from the crowds that swamp the EBC trail as well as having the challenge of doing that bit extra and working that little harder all the while soaking in the majestic sights of the Himalayas.

All in all the trek should take between 20-25 days from Jiri to EBC and back to Lukla to fly to Kathmandu. If you’re interested drop me a message, I am also in the Thamel area of Kathmandu so if your close by we can meet up?

  1. Hello. i am arriving in Kathmandu tomorrow and think about EBC as well. You liked to start on 7th right, so you still looking for company?

  2. Hey Lisa, I’m still looking for company for my trip, and I’m flexible with the leaving date as well as got to sort out permits and buy some gear. Have you booked your accommodation for Kathmandu yet?

The trek itself is longer than the EBC as instead of flying into Lukla airport we start off at Jiri and walk, we’ll be much better acclimatised to the altitude by the time we get up to Lukla as well than those who fly in.

Let me know what you think?
