Island Peak
Hello all,
Two years ago I did EBC and fell in love with the trip so much I want to return to Nepal, this time hoping to summit a peak. I’m from nyc and plan on starting my trip sometime in December. I am still flexible on dates. I’m hoping to meet some interesting people to share the experience with. I am also planning on spending some time in Kathmandu and possibly Pokara valley. Last time I met an amazing group of trekking buddies from different parts of the world and had an amazing time, hoping to do the same this year! Hey Kai, I think that it may be a bit late in the season for the island peak. I mean, it is the beginning of the winter, so such a climb will be a serious challenge. In case you are by chance interested in the Anapurna Circuit, let me know.
Hello, I’m planning on leaving chukkung for Island Peak on Friday 14 Dec. As Thomas points out it will be a serious challenge because of the cold – needing to be equipped, prepared, etc
