Spending a month in Sagarmatha National Park.

instead of flying into Lukla, I plan to walk from Jiri or Shivalaya and slowly work my way up through the Everest Basecamp route (taking extra days to enjoy the monasteries along the way, and heading west towards the Gokyo Valley at Lobuche). Staying a couple days by the lakes to go on various sublime day hikes. Then descending through Machchhermo and Dole, all the way back to Jiri.

    Hi Maja,

    I also plan walk from Jiri or Shivalaya but started from Disember 11, 2016. Jiri-EBC-Gokyo Ri-Thame-Lukla.

    Im looking at doing the EBC and Gokyo in December this year, although i’ll be flying to Lukla – Im doing it as cheap as possible, so for the higher parts it would be good to see who else was around and when
