Everest Trek and Mani Rimdu Festival
Looking for a travelling partner for Mani Rimdu festival in Tengbouche Monastery 3850m visit to Namche Bazar, Thame and Chukung Valley
Day 1:Oct 29.Arrival in Nepal
Day 2:Oct 30 . Visit of Kathmandu: Dubar square, Pashupatinath, Bodnath… – Hotel.
Day 3:Oct 31. Flight to Lukla (2840m) and first stage to Phangding (2610M) 3h30 walk
– Lodge.
Day 4:Nov 01 . Gradual climb along the river and arrival at Namche Bazar (3440m) 6h
walk – lodge.
Day 5:Nov 02. Ascent to the Thamé Valley to the village of Thamo (3550m), and
descent to Namche -4h walk – Lodge.
Day 6:Nov 03. We rise above Namche; Superb view of Everest then we reach the towns
of Khunde and Khunjung (3780m) 2h30 walk – Lodge.
Day 7:Nov 04. Descent into the valley, then we follow a path on the mountainside and
climb to the village of Phorthe (3810m) 4h30 walk – Lodge.
Day 8: Nov 05. We reach the beautiful Sherpa village of Pangboche (3930m) dominated by its monastery, 3h30 walk – Lodge.
Day 9:Nov 06. We climb gradually through mountain pastures where Dingboche yaks
graze 4400m, 3.30h- Lodge.
Day 10:Nov 07. Early in the morning we go to Chukung (4800m) to admire the superb
panorama of the mountains that surround us – Island Peak, Ama
Dablam and further Makalu, then return to Dingboche-Lodge .
Day 11: Nov 08. We gradually descend through mountain pastures where yaks graze to
the most important monastery in the Tengboche region, 3850m. Mani
Rimdu Festival at Tengboche Monastery. Wang – blessing ceremony.
Lodge, 4h – Lodge.
Day 12:09 Nov. Second day at the festival. You will attend the Cham ceremony –
Masked dances. –Lodge.
Day 13:Nov 10.Third day at the festival. You will attend the Jinsak ceremony – closing
offering ceremony – Lodge
Day 14:Nov 11 . Through a forest of pines and rodhodendrons we descend to the Dhud
Khosi River and we follow the river to arrive at Phangding (2610m) –
Lodge
Day 15:Nov 12. We go back to Lukla – Lodge
Day 16:Nov 13. Flight to Kathmandu – Hotel
Day 17:Nov 14. Rest/shopping/free day – Hotel
Day 18:Nov 15 . Free morning in Kathmandu and transfer to the airport.

Hi, hope you doing well? I and my friend have planned for a trip to EBC with the three passes trek and also do the island peak. I am going to start my trip from 25th October from jiri & my friend will join.me from lukla on 1st nov. We have a guide in place. If you are interested to join will be great. We are looking for the Mani Rimdu festival, so my departure date is fix and looking for someone to join the festival even also guide to chukung valley. If you are interested for the festival i am open for that.
