Everest High Passes and new friends!

I am planning to do the Everest Circuit/High Passes/EBC-Cho la Pass-Gokyo (everyone refers to this trek by slightly different terms). I would like to have a guide and porter but would like to also have some companions with me! I have been looking at various options and this seems to be a great itinerary. I have be back in Kathmandu on the 29th to get a flight out to Delhi, so was thinking of arriving in Kathmandu around the 8th-9th, and then trekking for 18-20 days. Anyone interested? 🙂

  1. Hey! I’m looking to do the trek the last two weeks of May. There are two people in my group and we must also fly back to Delhi but not until June 2. Have you finalized dates yet?

  2. Hey! Yes, my dates are pretty finalised unfortunately, as I am flying to Delhi on the 29th of March! Have fun on your trip though and thanks for replying 🙂

  3. Hi. I am an American guy living in Bangladesh. Coming to Kathmandu around the first week of March and would also like to trek the EBC trek. Are you still looking for companions?
    Thanks, Jeff

  4. Hey! My pal and I are flying to KTM on the 8th of March and would be doing the EBC trek (shorter than your proposed route). We are first timers so this will definitely be a HUGE challenge for us, so having experienced people around would definitely be a plus! Do let me know if you’re interested in joining us with the shorter route 🙂

  5. Hi! I am also planning to do the EBC trek in March, preferably for about two weeks. Please let me know if you are interested 🙂

  6. Hi all, this is Jeff.
It seems like this is the next trekking partners trip going out to the EBC area. As I posted above, I am planning on being in Kathmandu around March 5th or 6th. Perhaps people interested would like to meet up in Kathmandu cafe and discuss ideas? With 4-6 people a guide and/or porter set up would be helpful and the cost should be reasonable. I am more inclined to 3 weeks than 2 weeks at this point.

  7. Hi all,

It would be nice to do this trek together. I will be arriving in Kathmandu on 1st March. I don’t have any problems wih waiting until you guys arrive there.

How about 2.5 weeks :)? I can’t do a 3 week trek because I really need to catch my flight to Bangkok on the 30th of March and in case of bad weather in Lukla this might be a challenge… So let’s say we fly to Lukla on the 10th and fly back on the 26th?

Jeff, I am happy to meet you in Kathmandu on the 5th or 6th. Maybe we can then already arrange a porter and guide?

  8. Hi all I’m leaving to Jiri tomorrow so i would arrive to Lukla on the 10th March, I hope that we would meet up there!
