Everest base camp trek

Heya everyone.
It’s my first time in Nepal and I’ve decided that I can’t leave without getting a glimpse of the highest mountain in the world and so the EBC trek is in my sights.
I am currently pulling together my itinerary, gear and permits required for the trek and would like to set of by jeep or plane to Lukla (to be decided shortly) on the 5th April.
I am not a serious treker but what I might lack in experience I can make up for in enthusiasm. I would preferably like to do the trek independent from any porters or guides but would really appreciate some company on this little adventure.
I’m also traveling on a shoestring budget so the cheaper the better.
Really hope someone out there fancies joining me for some good laughs and an unforgettable experience.
I’m slightly flexible with dates and totally open to itinerary suggestions.
