Been quoted US$1200 for a guide, porter, all food, all accom and flights included.
Looking for some fun hiking buddies 🙂

Hi Bec,
I’m from the UK in my 30s and will be arriving in Kathmandu around 27th Nov – keen to join a group too! I wanted to do EBC but possibly add Gokyo Lakes onto it as that sounds amazing – r u interested in that too? Let me know if you’ve managed to get a group together anyway 🙂
Hi Bec, if you were flexible on your dates my boyfriend an I arrive in from London on 2 Dec and we’d be keen to get stuck in straight away. Perhaps we can negotiate a slightly better rate if we’re a group? My name is Kerri and I’m 31, originally from South Africa 🙂
im just back frim gokyo-chola-gorakshep-islandpeak.
i recommend you just fly to lukla and go with no guide. ou can take a porter if you want one. there are a few in lukla including a good guy you can find by going to the football field and looking at the silver house on the uphill side (cool sherpa guy he is a grampa with a very nice family and grandkids that you will meet over tea). porters are about $10-20/day, he’s a bit of a guude too and speaks ok englush unlike some…
budget $25/d is plenty unless you eat a ton or are addicted to being online daily. bring a jar of jam and of honey and snacks. buying snacks and gear in namche is reasonable prices if you bargain down -25% to -50%. youll probably want a down jacket and mitts
