Everest Base Camp Trek

Hi everyone! I’m looking to do the trek to Everest Base Camp sometime this week – starting ~November 9th or 10th.

I spoke with an agency highly recommended to me by a friend, and I was quoted ~$1000 USD for: guide, transportation to the airport, round-trip flight to Lukla, 3 meals a day, lodging, permits – all the normal costs you would expect, excluding tips. The price could go down as low as $900 per person if we added a few more people.

I’m a regular 25 year old guy traveling around the world for 1 year. If I’m going to go on a 2 week hike, I’d prefer to spend a lot of that time with some like-minded people. I’m planning on a moderate pace – I’m in shape, but no marathon runner. I also have a flexible schedule in case anyone needs additional days for acclimatization.
