Langtang Valley Trek

Hi everybody! I’ll be trekking Lantang Valley somewhere on the 23th till the 29th of November. Looking for people to trek with. I trek at a moderate pace. I love the mountains and I love talking to people and getting to know people! I’ve done the Annapurna Base camp Trek previously and I found awesome people to trek with here as well. Text me if you are interested !

  1. Hi Teeba,
Planning to do Langtang from 18-19 november, looking for a group, maybe with guide. Moderate pace, experience India, Kyrgystan, Ecuador..etc.Travelling solo.

    • Hi are you also the same person who sent me a message at Thorntree? I’m looking for a group as well. And I don’t mind going independently. I’ll leave on the 18th. Thinking of maybe spending about 30 USD or less in a day. Including stay at tea house and meals. Will be trekking for 8 days.

  2. What is your time schedule? How many days? What per day?

  3. Hi Teeba and Thomas, I‘m in Nepal 16th Nov until 1st Dec and also looking for trekking mates. Still very flexible regarding route, however I would looove to include a summit climb and would also look into arranging a guide for this. Would be happy to team up and can’t wait for the adventure to start. I‘m very much into sports and a mountain lover:) Let me know what would work for you.

    • Great to read!
My plan is to trek 6 days, 2 days bus Kathm-Shubrabesi.
Shall me have an exchange of PM/e-mails?

    • Hi Katrin,

I start my trek tomorrow, let me know if our dates match 🙂

      Abi

  4. Hello Teeba, Thomas and Katrin,
I’ll arrive in KTM 15th Nov and I’m looking for trekking buddies. I’m still undecided regarding the route, but Langtang Valley sounds great! I am biologist and a nature person, easygoing too 😉 I’m hiking a moderate pace and mountain experienced from Chile and the Alps. It would be great to join you! 🙂

    • Hey timm,

I have a great route from someone else here I’d really love to do – encompasses Langtang, goisaikinda and Tamang heritage – includes lakes, hot springs and with good weather a summit and view of Tibet!

I arrived alone and have sussed a few things out. Was going to go solo and will if I have to but if this sounds good let me know x

    • Hey all – just a bit more info :

  5. Hi Tim,

    Great to read,

    My info is:
    – arrival in Kathmandu 16 nov
    – 17 nov arranging TIMS permit, bus ticket to Syabrubesi, etc
    – 18/19 nov bus to Syabrubesi
    – next day start trek
    – trek plan like Lonely Planet:
    day0 bus Kathmandu – Syabrubesi
day 1 Syabrubesi – Lama Hotel
day 2 Lama Hotel – Langtang
    day 3 Langtang – Kyanjin
    day 4 Kyanjin – Kyanji Ri/Tsergo
day 5 Kyanji – Lama Hotel
day 6 Lama Hotel – Syabrubesi (or direct Kyanji-Syabrubesi, depends),
    day 7 Syabrubesi – Kathmandy

    – gear: I have sleeping bag, mattress, food, tent if needed/handy, stove, etc.
    – experience: done multiple multiday trekking from Kyrgystan to Norway, all independent, but with friends
    – flexibel with plan/days/schedule
    – now travelling solo, want to do trek with guide or group (at least not alone)
    – condition: moderate condition, less fit then before (multiple marathons/semi-marathons), coming back from injury, but I will be fine, now at least 3 times sporting a week (mix swimming, running, cycling), experience with trekking is 8h/20-25km a day, wish is to do little less per day this time
    – in Nepal till 6dec
    – Poon Hill was also on my list, but prefer Langtang because of less crowds
-background: master in social studies, working now as team manager on school

    For all; Teeba, Katrin, Tim:
Shall we discuss other things about our trip in a closed environment? Is that possible here on this site (as group)? Or exchange e-mails, whatsapp numbers?

Looking forward to join you and meeting in Kathmandu 🙂

    • Hi!
I just came back from Annapurna Circuit Trek a couple of days ago but since I have another two weeks in Nepal, I would like to fit in this trek before I leave.
This dates suit me just fine and I’d love to join your group if possible! Did you decide on the exact departure date already?
I hope it’s not too late for me to tag along!

      Thanks 🙂

  6. Hi all,
