Everest Base Camp Trek
12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary; (EBC) at 5,360m is the classic route known to most trekkers who want to explore the Everest region of the Himalayan ranges. Every trekker’s dream is to stand on the foot of the mother of all peaks, the Mt Everest, and observe the ice fall doctors as they pave the way and prepare the Sherpa rituals on the Khumbu icefall for a commercial expedition. Anyone fit enough to walk 5 – 8 hours and cross a minimum of 400m to a maximum of 600m a day, can complete EBC trek within 12 days of time. 12 days itinerary would be the ideal schedule for someone with a good level fitness and experience in high-altitude treks.
Day 1: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding; Elevation: 2,650m; 3-4 hour trek
Day 2: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar; Elevation: 3,450m; 6-7 hour trek
Day 3: Acclimatisation & side trip to Syanbouche, Everest View Hotel, Khumjung; Elevation: 3,850m; 6-7 hour trek
Day 4: Trek from Namche to Tangbouche; Elevation: 3,867m; 6-7 hour trek
Day 5: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche; Elevation: 4,413m; 5-6 hour trek
Day 6: Rest day in Dingboche & day exploration at Chukung or Nagarjun Hill; Elevation: 5,000m; 5-6 hour trek
Day 7: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche; Elevation: 4,930m; 6-7 hour trek
Day 8: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep, same day trek to Everest Base Camp; Elevation: 5,250m; 7-8 hour trek
Day 9: Trek from Gorakshep to Kalapatthar (5,550m) and trek to Pheriche; Elevation: 4,370m; 8-9 hour trek
Day 10: Trek from Pheriche to Namche; Elevation: 3,450m; 7-8 hour trek
Day 11: Trek from Namche to Lukla; Elevation: 2,860m; 7-8 hour trek
Day 12: Flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu

Hi Retzel You are going way too fast unless you are already living or staying long time above 3000 mtrs. Overnight in Gorakshep in such a short time is killing! Slow down and take more time is my advise. No pills just common sense.
Thanks for the reply, Harry! But I’ve seen this itinerary online and in youtube. Also, that the only time away from work that I have. I will play it by ear
Better overnight in Lobuche and skipp BC, nothing to see there in that time of the year. Listen to your body and good luck with your trip.
