Everest Base Camp Trek

Hi I’m Emma,

I’m 27 years old, from England and looking to trek to Everest Base Camp around New Year.

I’ve done very limited trekking in this area before so probably looking to join a group with a guide or privately hiring a guide and splitting the cost with people. Although it seems like the route is easy to follow, I’d like a guide to learn about the area and also to stay safe in the altitude.

I’ll most likely be solo, or with one other friend, so I’m just looking for ideas or seeing if anyone else is looking to do something similar at this time?

    Hi Emma,
    It is doable solo without a guide during the time that you are planning as there would be less people and the lodges won’t be fully occupied. Just prepare for the extreme cold and watch out for the sudden overnight heavy snow which could cover the tracks.

    Hi, I am thinking to do around that time as well, I have been to Nepal in 2016 and did Ghorepani, I am thinking to hire the same guide I use in 2016 as freelance guide. so far I am solo and looking for travel partner to share the guide cost.
