Everest Base Camp Trek
Dates are flexible within a week or so.
My girlfriend (Maud – French) and I (Tony – English) are flying into Lukla sometime in late Jan and will be making our way to Gokyo via Machhermo. Depending on the weather, were also thinking of heading across to Everest Base camp via Phortse (or Cho La if the weather is good enough).
If we head to Gokyo only then we plan to make the return trip to Lukla in around 11 days. If we go over Cho La to EBC then we aim to do it in around 13 days and if we head to EBC via Phortse 16 days.
We are open to other suggestions, however we would like to reach Gokyo.
We are both fit however it won’t be a fast pace or strenous. We plan to take our time, enjoy the trip and make sure we acclimatise correctly. I’ve done a similar trek to Gokyo, EBC and Chuckung 3 years ago.
We can either meet you in Kathmandu and fly together, or meet you in Lukla/Phakding/Namche.
We don’t want to be part of a large group but would be happy to be joined by a few people. We will not be getting a guide as I’ve done the trek before.
I’ve worked out the cost at roughly 1000NPR per day (high estimation) so that’s roughly £100/USD$140 for the trip (excluding flights to Lukla).
