Everest Base Camp Trek
I was planning for sometime to go for EBC trek and finally, i can foresee myself executing this plan. Climbing to the peak of Mount Everest is something i might not be able to do but then at-least I can touch the mighty mountain (which is Everest Base Camp) for sure. I am planning for this trek around September End – Mid October (30 Sept – 15 Oct). I have a rough itinerary and travel plan with me. But definitely if you have any inputs or better plan, things can be modified. Interested people please revert and let me know. i will love to chat with you about this.
I have done some treks in India, including a travel to the highest motor-able road at an altitude of about 18,500 Feet.
Everest’s daunting summit soars so high that trekking to its base camp (17,590′ Feet) is still an adventure of the highest sort.
Everest Base Camp Trek is a famous challenging trek in Khumbu, Nepal.
From the moment you land at the airstrip in Lukla to the moment you depart, you will be surrounded by some of the most incredible mountain scenery in the world. But it is not the remarkable sights alone that keep people coming back to Nepal, it is the kindness and hospitality of the people, the colorful mix of cultures and the relaxed pace of life in Everest’s Khumbu region.
To trek to Everest Base Camp you need to be in excellent physical condition, but no climbing or mountaineering experience is necessary. Our goal is to climb Kala Pathar at 18,600ft/5,670m and to walk on the broken glacial moraine all the way to Base Camp at 17,500ft/5,333m. You will spend about 2 weeks in a land where life is simple, trails are steep and the air is thin.
