Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek
My husband and I (both aged 38 from Australia) are planning on trekking in the Everest Region in January. We are aiming to do this independently to save money and are looking for other people to trek with.
I have been trekking in the region 3 times already however never in winter and never independently.
We are arriving in KTM on 14 Jan and will be aiming to fly to Lukla on 16 or 17 Jan. We are flexible with time in the mountains but would like to go to Gokyo and EBC.

I’m heading Kathmandu on January 13th and looking for somes fellows to trek together.
I’m French, 30 years old and on the road since 6 months. I’ve trekking experience at 6000m and fit but never trek in Nepal and even not during winter season. By the way I’m wondering about the temperature on January and if I can rent somes stuff in Kathmandu. As you guys know the region you might be able to give me somes advices.
Anyway I’m down to join you ! Staying in Nepal til February 12th so I guess we’ve plenty of time.
