Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek

Hi all,

Planning to do the EBC and Gokyo trek – I was thinking Gokyo trail first then loop round for descent on the EBC trail but open to options, and also potentially Island Peak (which is why I’m thinking that direction so as to acclimatise enough). I’m of reasonable fitness and have trekked to >5000 metres a few times before, but not planning to rush this. Flying into KTM on 27th November and planning to head to Lukla shortly after, so start dates on or around 28th. Low cost preferred. Please let me know if you’re interested in teaming up.

    Hi James.
    I don’t know if you have anyone else interested in this. I’m certainly keen to do Gokyo Lakes Trek. I wondered about looping round the other way rather than EBC trail (as I want to try and have a quieter experience) but tbh I’m very new to this so happy to do whatever. I trekked in Ladakh in September and though not an experienced trekker of reasonable fitness. Let me know what you think. Thanks

    Other way i.e. via Thamo. Also were you thinking of flying into Lukla? or jeep to Phaplu etc….
