Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek
Hiya!
I’m Mani from London, England just finished up at medical school this May and decided I needed a year long travelling break after endless nights cramming for med school finals.
So I’ll be in Nepal start of october and really want to do the EBC coupled with Gokyo ri! Happy to go at a slow pace to prevent AMS plus i have no timeframe in which trip needs to be completed by! Would definitely be looking into getting a porter and a guide! There are so many options with online western tour groups but I feel like they all will just hand off the job to a local company and pay them minimal so I’d rather support local Nepalese guides! So getting a couple people together or a group I think would be ideal! DATES ARE NOT SET (I could do anytime in October)
If this is something you’d be interested drop me a message and I’m more than happy to include additionally things within the hike if that’s something someone wanted! I have done a few hikes so I’m not a complete newbie 🙂

I’m Hyekyung from Geneva, I will be arriving in Kathmandu around late September, and planning to start hiking EBC/Gokyo lakes in the first week of October. Do you already have the set groups/plans?

Hey mate, sounds like a good plan- are you still looking for someone? I’m teaching in Pokhara until the 19th of Oct but I’m planning on going trekking straight after that. If those dates could work with you let me know! All the best, James
