Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek

I am Jorge from Colombia and I am looking for partners to do EBC, Kalapattar and Gokyo Lake
I want to do low budget trekking and also going slow bucause I dont have experience above 4500. I want to it independt, maybe hire a porter when we get to Lukla just for a little safety (and also because this is the main source of jobs for this mountain towns)
I think ot will take about 15-16 days total.
I am very interested in the culture and people in this region, I like to talk with the local people, share with them(language permiting), eat homemade food, smoke with them(this is Nepal) and try to get a real feeling of local life and the real culture. Sometimes this is posible and sometimes not.. but I try
I am not sure yet if we take a flight to Lukla or by bus to Jari (and then fly back)

Hello Jorge,
I’m Etienne from France, and i’m also planning to do the EBC trek (and the Gokyo Lake as well). Like you i would like to start from Jiri, or a bit ahead like in Salleri.
I’m arriving in Kathmandu on the 24th of august and i should be ready to leave on the 26th or 27th (i need some time for buying some equipment and maybe the permits).
I would love to have some company for this trek, are you still looking for people to join you ?
