Everest Base Camp 3 Passes
Hi there, I plan to leave Kathmandu on Thursday 1st November 2018 and head over to Lukla to do the Everest Base Camp 3 Passes walk.
I’d like to allow 21 days to do this in case of needing extra time to acclimatise.
A bit about me, I’m a 35 year old Australian. I’ve traveled a bit, I’ve lived and worked in Australia, USA, Singapore and Brazil. I’m optimistic, respectful, caring, calm and I love walking, being in nature and experiencing different cultures. Once the trekking day is done I love to have a laugh over a game of cards (or can just as happily read my book).
I’m on an average budget and would love to share a guide with someone else to keep costs down and it’s also nice to have a trekking partner. Not sure yet if I’ll use a porter or not (leaning towards probably!) so there’s an option to share the hiring of a porter as well.
I’d prefer to go with a local agency or independent guide, to support them vs a global company.

Your plans seem similar to mine. I arrive alone on the night of Oct 30th and I plan to fly to Lukla on the 1st or 2nd of November. Taking time to get used to the elevation is also my plan and sharing a guide and porter would be great!
I am a very relaxed person and I like to take lots of pictures. I am from the US, but I live in Madrid.

Hi Molly, Troy and Colin, did one of you or you all together already organised your trip? I’ll fly to Lukla tomorrow. I planned to go without a gilde to meet up with other people for the passes, but i’m kind of scared now. Would like to know what your plans are. I can share in the costs of a guide of course.
Hey Sofie, I found a tour leaving on Saturday that is guided. I’m still in 2 minds about whether I want one or not. I’ll be flying to Lukla other tomorrow or Saturday, all a bit last minute.

I just hired a guide/porter and I fly to Lukla on the 7:30 flight tomorrow (nov 2nd).
The guide is meeting me in Lukla. With Summit Air.
When do you arrive?
I hired for EBC and then the option to extend it if I feel good.
Maybe I will see you in Lukla or at the airport?
