EBC via Gokyo Lakes Escapade

We are 2 recent graduates slash young professionals living in London looking for a lively group to face the EBC/Gokyo Lakes adventure trail with.

Both of us love seeking new experiences of the world and have been out on our gap year travels in recent months to China and Australia. We aren’t hardcore trekkers but thought we may as well take on the challenge…it’s now or…well…now, (evidently)! This will be a first in terms of the longer treks but hey ho balls to the wall, no pain no gain and all that.

See you up there =)

  1. Hello Elias , i’m from Bombay, India, 29 yrs, male. My starting dates match yours. 14th may 9AM I land in Kathmandu to 25th May I fly out at 10AM. I dont have a strict itinenary but I wish to do a 5k meter altitude trek. Gokyo Ri or EBC trek is what I’m considering.
Budget is around 1000 USD. I’ve done a few treks in France, The GR 20 in Corsica but not beyond altitude of 3000 meters. I can take a guide if we share expenses but prefer being idependent. I can carry 16 kgs, walk 6/7 hours. It’ll be a great adventure. Let me know.

  2. Hi there! You are still planning to do this? I am a 22 year old female with some experience and would like to do an independent trekking! Let me know what your plans are!

  3. Hi all we are still planning to go ahead with the trek. We will be landing in Kathmandu on 10th May and looking to fly to Lukla on the 11th May morning. Either of which would be a good place to meet. So far still hoping to follow the itinerary above (see this page next to ‘Plan’). Do let us know if you are keen to join!
