Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek

EBC via Gokyo Lakes

Hi All,

I am travelling solo to Nepal in January 2019 and plan to do the EBC via Gokyo lakes trek. I have read that is advised to hire a guide for this route, especially in relation to the Chola Pass section, and was hoping to partner up with other trekkers who are considering a similar route to share the cost of the guide.

I arrive into Kathmandu on 2nd Jan and was planning to set off for the trek on 4th Jan.

A bit about me, I’m a 29 year old English guy and consider myself to have a good level of fitness so hopefully shouldn’t hold anyone back in terms of the distances covered. I’m pretty flexible in terms of the distance I plan to cover per day – I basically have to be back in Kathmandu on 21 Jan for my outward flight.
