  1. Hi,I am interested in going to Dolpo.I wanted to go from Beni to Dolpo via Dhorpatan, but April was too early for the passes.I sent you a message on the Thorn Tree site but maybe you didn’t get it,It was the first time I registered for Thorn Tree and then I sent a message right away.Anyway I have wanted to go to Dolpo but the 2 person thing can be difficult for getting permits. Anyway in the last 3 years I have done Manaslu,Tsum valley,Hallesi to up above Tengboche, and then Dhorpatan and ABC.The guide-porter and I were 2 weeks into the Dhorpatan trek when the earthquake happened.I mentioned in my other message that I think we have used the same company.I am 64 so I am reluctant to be around young trekkers, because I don’t want to slow them down, but you don’t look too young.I am retired and can do treks in the mountains if I go to Nepal in September.I may go to Bardia if I fly to Nepalgang.I was there in April 2 years ago .Oh well,if you want to contact me my email

  2. I might be interested in this trek.

    • Hi,
But how can you get permits in Nepalganj? You need documents and can only get a permit through an agency in Kathmandu or Pokhara. And you know you need a guide to go to Dolpo? It’s mandatory.
