climb one of the trekking peaks

Hi, I am planning to climb one of the trekking peaks in Nepal either in the Langtang Region (eg. Yala Peak, Naya Kanga) or one in the Everest Region (Mera Peak, Island Peak etc).

So far, for Mera Peak, I have gotten a quote of US$ 1200 per person for a 12 day round trip starting in Kathmandu (fly to Lukla etc.) through a reputed climbing company. I am looking for more people to join so that the cost could go down.

I am also open to joining some one else’s group if they are looking for someone to do a trekking peak with them

I am originally from Nepal, and grew up in the Kanchanjunga region of Nepal. So, I speak the native language and may know one or two thing about the mountain and Nepal.

  1. Hello,

My name is Pierre and I am from France. I am also searching for trekking partner to climb the Mera Peak with a starting date around the 25th april or 1st may 2014.

Are you still looking for partner to climb and are these dates good for you ?

    Pierre

  2. Hi Pierre, I am still looking for partners. But, I don’t arrive in Kathmandu until May 6th. Is there any chance that you may be able to start later?

  3. Hi there
I am also really keen to climb either Mera or Island Peak soon. I’m in Kathmandu now so can leave whenever. Can I ask what company you have found because that sounds like amazing value and the shorter amount of time is good because many do EBC which I just got back from so don’t feel I need to do it again now.
    Cheers
    Rachel

  4. @Rachel. I won’t be in Kathmandu until May 6th. Will that still work for you?
