  1. I might be interested. Are you thinking of getting a guide? And where will start?

  2. Hey, we thought about getting a guide but we are pretty much open for anything.
I was thinking to start in Besi Sahar, but again we are pretty flexible.
We will be in Kathmandu on the 18th December. How about you ?

  3. hey, when are you getting to Nepal? I noticed you are from Sydney ? We are based in Melbourne so we could even chat over the phone.
I dont know any guides , I only know it is quite easy to find one over in Kathmandu and also many people go without one.
Do you know any guides over there ?

  4. Hi Micheal,
I still haven’t booked flights but probably leave the 14th and arrive the 15th of Dec. Then next day fly to Pokhara . I think I will just do a 12 day trek from Pokhara as I only have 3 weeks holiday. It will be a bit too tight to squeeze in a 19 day trek. And it also leaves me some days for relaxing and yoga.
I think I will get a guide from http://www.3sistersadventuretrek.com. I read good things about this organization. The guide in $30 a day, of course it would be great to share a guide. Especially if I end up trekking alone I will need a guide. I’m sure they can also help you prepare for different weather situations that you can run into this time of year.
It would be good to keep in touch and exchange some ideas and we might end up meeting in Nepal!

  5. Hey, where did you think of starting a trek? We are also considering Annapurna Base Camp which is probably no longer than 12 days and with some great reviews as well.
December may be already very cold and Thorung La pass ( AC) may be closed due to high snow fall- so all depending on the weather conditions.
Lets keep in touch and let me know once your plans are confirmed. Would be good to meet each other on the trek:) I am also still deciding and will let you know our plans once known.

  6. I booked flights, I got a great deal with Air Asia.
I’m arriving in kathmandu the 14th. Then I will fly to Pokhara the 15th and start hiking the 16th from there.
I pay $50 for transport at both ends, $40 for permit and $25×12 days for the guide. 3 sisters adventure trekking also books me accommodation for the first 2 nights before the trek and 1 night after for $15 a night (incl brekkie). I think afterwards I will spend some more days in Pokhara at a yoga ashram. Let me know about your plans 🙂
