Annapurna Circuit Trek

I am Steven. I am in New York Right now, but I am basically from India. I am planning to do the circuit in April and May of 2016, SOLO (NO GUIDE, NO PORTER) figuring out everything by myself, I would like to spend 1+ month in Nepal. If someone is planning to trek during the same time, let me know. I am actually planning a solo trip, but would be more than happy to meet people on the way. In 2013, I did a cross country on my motorcycle in India (From Kerala (southern tip) to Ladakh, Leh for a couple of months with my wife and a friend. After Ladakh, I have been planning on either the Mt. Everest Base camp trek or the Annapurna Circuit. So, I came to a conclusion that I do the ACT first. This time my wife wont be with me as we are expecting a baby and if everything goes right I will be a father when doing the trek. If someone needs any help or any assistance during the time I am trekking, let me know, or we will just meet, greet, and part one day on the way during the hike, that would be great too

  1. Hey Steven, I plan to trek EBC anytime between March-May 2016. Intend to do solo, no porter or guide but would be happy to join other solo travelers as this helps a lot. Let me know if you have any dates in mind and we might be able to do somthing. Thanks, Abhishek (Abi)

  2. Hello Steven,
I will probably do the AC in april. I also want to do this independently, but a trek partner would be nice.
I’m assuming that I (as a slow walker who likes to take many pictures) will take a bit longer than the average person, so maybe it’s a good idea to meet before Thorung La, or in Manang?

  3. Hi Steven,

I’m a Medical student from Holland and I’m planning the AC in the beginning of April as well. I’m arriving in Kathmandu on the 1st, so would like to leave on the 2nd of April.
I would like to do the trekking with a trekking partner. Maybe we can meet in Kathmandu?

    Kind regards! Anna

    • Hey Anna!
Here’s my blerb – get in touch if you want to chat, seems like our trekking plans are very similar ( different dates though!) 🙂 x

I’m an English girl currently living in India for winter but will leave here when it gets too hot (!!), arriving to Kathmandu on April 5th. I’ll take a flight the next day if I can straight to Pokhara.

I’m hoping to start the Anna Purna Circuit a few days after I arrive in Pokhara (time to get the permits etc)… setting off around 9th or 10th April. I will do this independently (no guide, no porter). I’ve trekked Anna Purna Base Camp and Everest Base Camp (+Gokyo Ri) independently in the past so I’d say I’m a fairly experienced trekker. I did Everest Base Camp with a bunch of people I met on this site and we had the most amazing time together…!

I’m quite athletic and I walk quite fast even though I have little legs, so it would be better for me to be in a big group where can walk at our own pace and then meet up at the end of the day or to walk with faster people so I don’t annoy people by charging off or get frustrated with people taking their time 😉

I have no idea how long the trek should take and I’m not in a rush to finish it (I just naturally walk fast), and I’d even be happy to spend the odd day here and there just chilling out at a particularly beautiful location if that happened.

Hope to hear from you if you’d like to be trekking partners! I’m easygoing, open-minded and love the great outdoors.

Let me know if you have any suggestions – my plans are flexible!

    • Hi Anna,

I am arriving in Kathmandu on the 2nd of April. I’m planning to do the Annapurna circuit. I am also a dutch girl.
If you would like to meet, let me know.

      Kind regards,

    • Hi, I have pretty much similar arrival dates to Kathmandu and I’m looking for fellow hikers. Are you still looking for a companion? It’s be great to meet in Kathmandu. How much time do you have?

  4. Hey guys,
I am going to walk the Anna Purna Circuit, leaving from Besisahar 8th April. Welcome to join me and a trekking partner Gokul on our adventure! We are planning to do the Tilicho Lake 3 day hike from Manang too.
    Get in touch! 😉
