Annapurna Circuit Trek

Hi
I am planning to do the Annapurna Circuit trek this october/november. I have not yet exactly decided the days sice I haven´t booked my planeticket yet. I will fly to Kathmandu and the go by bus to the start of the trek and end it in Pokhara. I wil have about ia month in total for my stay in Nepal so I would like to get the permits sonna after arriving in Kathmandu and start the trip. I want to go independently without a guide or a porter but I would like to find other independet trekkers who might want to walk together since it is nicer to share the experience with someone and since it´s safer not walking alone in the mountains. I might want to do some sidetrips on the way if I have time for it. I have never done such a long trek and in such high altitude before but I have done shorter treks and I am used to walking and running so I hope I can have a medium/fast walking speed. If you have similar plans write me and we might meet and do the trek together!

  1. Morning Lina,
I will be arriving in Katmandhu about 23-25th October (flying from UK) and planning to spend about 1 month (well, about 28 days) trekking. Have you managed to find other trekking partners?
Same as you, I’ll be travelling solo but wouldn’t mind joining others/a group.
The highest altitude I’ve been so far is about 4200m but never trekked over such long period.
I don’t have an itinerary in mind yet so I am flexible.
    Cheers, Iony

  2. Hi Lina, I want to do exactly the same than you but I’ll arrive in Katmandu on the 1st of November and I’d like to start to trek few days after. Do you think we could do it together?
    Marion

    • Hi Marion that would have been nice but unfortunately i have already booked my flight and i will start trekking the 27 but i hope you find another trekkingpartner!

  3. Hi Lina,

are you still looking for a trekking partner? I am arriving in Kathmandu on the 15th of October and then will be heading to Phokara (or Besisahar) from where I want to start the ACT. So a departure on the 24th would fit for me.

I would do the trek without a guide or porter as well but definitely don´t want to trek alone. I haven´t done a trek of such a length yet, but I would definitely consider myself as physically fit as I do running, exercising and Yoga on a very regular basis.

Looking forward to your reply 🙂

    • I Alina 🙂
Are you still looking for a partner? I’m leaving from Kathmandu to Pokhara on the 23rd where I will continue from there. I am a solo trekker, who doesn’t want a porter or guide but would love comparably! I haven’t don’t a trek this long before but have done a few 8 day treks. I have a flexible itinerary and was planning on doing some side treks.

  4. Hi Alina,

  6. Hi Alina! Have you already find your trekking partner? I’m arriving in KTH on 23rd Oct and I want to start a trek on 25th Oct. I’m planning to go to Pokhara and next to Syange/Jagat where I’ll start the trek. The ending place is Jamson. It seems to that we have similar plans. Let’s trek together. What do you think about that?

  7. Hi Lina,
Your plans sound exactly what I want to do. I really would like to go without a porter or a guide but be in a group with other people.
I arrive in Kathmandu on the 23th of October.
If you are still looking for people I would like to join you or your group.
Looking forward to your reply 🙂

  8. Hey you all,
I’m arriving 23th of October in Kathmandu. Planning to take the bus from Kathmandu to Bulbulla the 25th to start the ACT. Ending in Pokhara. (Or before, depending on how the time.)
I have about 18 days to do the trek (leaving 13th November in Kathmandu).
I don’t have any trekking experience, but in ok shape. (cycling daily, some yoga, shorter hikes)

Let me know if anything specific pops out.

    Ciao, Tina

    • Hi Tina, are you still looking for trekking partner? I have similar plans like you, I’ll be in Kathmandu on 23rd Oct, and I’m planning to leave to start the trek on 25th Oct. I have a little less time than you 15 days to do the trek with transport, that’s why I’m planning to start in yagat or dharapani and end in Jamson (jeep transport). I’m 35 years old and I guess I have similar fitness condition as you (running, yoga, shorter hikes). Let me know if you would like to meet me. Pls contact me via facebook: joanna papke

  9. Hi Lina/everyone! If there still some room for an additional trekking partner I’d love to join! I will be in Kathmandu from Oct 21st and was thinking of joining any crew heading off to Pokhara around the 23rd.
I would really appreciate it if you could keep me posted!
    Thanks 🙂
