Annapurna Circuit Trek

Hi all!

I’m Cami, 24 years old, half Dutch, half Peruvian and in love with Nepal 🙂 After my graduation in organic chemistry in 2016 I spent three months in this beautiful country and did some volunteering at a primary school and a monastery.
Now I’m working at a research lab for almost a year and I can’t wait to return to Nepal this april. I would love to do the annapurna circuit trek. Last time I did the annapurna base camp and I loved it!

I will arrive on april 25th in Kathmandu and my plan is to go directly to Pokhara. There I will take a day to arrange the permits and buy the last things before starting the trek. So around april 28th I would like to start from besisahar depending on who wants to join.

I would like to do the trek on a easy going speed since I want to try out my new camera and I like to enjoy the nature and therefore not just go through the circuit as fast as possible. Besides the AC I would like to do the side trek to Tilicho lake.
With regards to guides and porters, I’m flexible. I’m happy to carry my own luggage and I don’t think we would need a guide but it’s open for discussion.

It’s my birthday on may 6th so I aim to be on the top that day but it’s not a must 😉

Let me know if you’re interested to hike together!

  1. Hi Cami,

My name is Rocky. I am an intensive care nurse from New Zealand and am doing some volunteer nursing work in Nepal in May.
I fly into Kathmandu and am looking to do the Annapurna circuit around the 28/29th once I have got my permits. I was planning to do it unguided staying in the tea houses. I would like to trek at a medium pace that ensures keeping to the itinerary but also leaving some time for a rest day if needed, a side day trip if appropriate and some time to stop and take in the surroundings.
At the end of the trip I will be heading to Pokhara to start my placement.
It would be nice to have some company along the way. Let me know of you would be interested.
    Thanks

  2. Hi Cami,

I am 27 – born in Canada, raised in Hong Kong, last lived in the States and have been traveling for the past 8 months! I was in tech when I had a job 🙂

I am in Nepal volunteering for 2.5 weeks. On the 25th, I head back to Kathmandu to get ready for the ATC.

Would you be interested in starting the trek from Kathmandu? That way, we save a day of traveling. I heard the bus ride to Besisahar is pretty much equi-distance (give or take an hour or two).

I’m not really sure of my pace but I think I walk faster when it’s cold 😛 that being said, I am also a big fan of photography and enjoying nature.

Let me know if you’d be interested in trekking together! Happy to share more information about myself and work out the details if you think we’re a good fit.

    Andrea

  3. Hey Cami,

I’m reaching out on the day you’re leaving, but your plans seem to match up with mine! I’m leaving tomorrow to the base so I can start and arrived in Kathmandu yesterday. I’m looking to keep a medium pace, in case of a rest day.

Let me know if you’re still looking for a trekking partner!
