Annapurna Circuit Trek
Hello! ๐
I’m flying into Kathmandu on the 2nd. If anyone is keen or thinking about coming along, it would be great to arrange to go to a cafe or a bar and discuss some plans. ๐
I would be arriving in Pokhara around the 7th March? Maybe even as late as the 14th. I’m hoping to start the circuit from Beshi Shahar and continue through to Ghuandrung then potentially bus it back to Pokhara. I really want to hike to Lake Tilicho and do a few side hikes on the trail too; that being said my itinerary is totally flexible if you want to suggest something! ๐
I’ve not got much experience in multi day hikes, but I lived in the Southern Alps in New Zealand for a year so I’ve plenty of mountain experience. I’m pretty fit but do suffer from really mild asthma so would prefer not to go a million miles an hour haha. I’m planning a photography project whilst I’m doing the walk, so would love someone who is also interested in photography! I would prefer to do the walk independently, but don’t mind if someone hires a porter!
I’m also hoping to discuss the possibility of going into Tibet or Bhutan with some local people. I’ve heard from various people that it’s easier to find trips there whilst you are in the country. If anyone is interested in coming along and trying to figure something out whilst we are there, that would be great!
Just shoot me a message on here and we can discuss further ๐

Hey tim ๐ iam felix, 31, from germany. arriving in kathmandu on the first of march. Planning to do 2 treks in nepal and start with the annapurna curcuit. I was doing several hikes in 2016 in south america. So got some experience. i dont want to hike too fast aswell to have time to enjoy the nature, culture, people on the trek. Also iam interested in photography. Maybe we can meet in kathmandu and see if it matches ๐ and build a nice group!
Hey Felix
Sounds perfect!! I’ll be in Kathmandu on the 2nd March. I’m going to make some plans to meet up with anyone interested in a bar or cafe and we can discuss what would be the best plan of action?
Hi Tim,
I will be arriving to KTM from London on the 2nd March and have booked an internal flight to Pokhara the same day. I aim to start start the trek on the 3rd March giving myself 25 days, hiking around 7/8hrs daily at a moderate place. Taking lots of pictures on route and exploring the beautiful location. My plan is to hike the Annapurna Circuit/Base Camp and Tilicho Lake trek without guide or porter, staying at tea houses.
If that interests you please do not hesitate to contact me
Kind Regards,
Dipesh
Hey Dipesh!
Sorry but I think I will still be in KTM on the 3rd. If you decide to change dates, let me know! ๐
If not, have a great time
Tim x
Hi Tim!
Grad student from Texas here! I am also looking to start the AC early March– I originally thought I’d start around the same time as Dipesh (March 3 or so), but am now considering going to Chitwan national forest for the first few days of the month (and so March 7th or so might work better for me)! I should decide for sure in the next couple days.
I would love to meet up with you and your group in KTM to discuss plans if I decide to leave around that time– would that be cool? This will be my first multi-week trek but I am physically fit and used to living/spending time outside for long periods.
I have no real eye for photography unfortunately, but would love to travel with someone who has that talent! I definitely plan on taking approx. 5 million photos on this trip for sure ๐ I also would like to take my time on the trip.
My schedule is super flexible– the only constraint I have is that I am also doing the Everest base camp trek, and I would need to leave for that around March 30-April 1st. Other than that, I am open to anything! Would love to join a group for the AC and make some friends.
Let me know! I plan to be checking this site routinely so message me what y’all decide and I’ll be there!
Thanks,
Sarah
hey sarah!
yeah! i think so far me and felix are going to meet up for a beer and sort through some stuff around the 4th/5th March. you are more than welcome to come along too !!! the more the merrier i say !
i think we *should* be back way before the 30th ๐ i say *should* because you never know….. but if not it’s very easy to get a jeep back down in a day or two if you need to leave.
send me a message with your facebook or number and we can organise going for a beer ๐
Hi Tim! Hi everyone!
I am Laurence, from Montrรฉal, Canada. I’m currently in Sri Lanka and will be flying in Nepal on February 27th. I would like to do the Annapurna circuit as well, may be taking the bus at the end depending on the time I have left. I don’t have a specific schedule yet, still checking out things, but the 7th or 14th sounds great! I only have to be back in Kathmandu around the 25-26th of March.
It would also be my first multi-week trek, but I consider myself in good shape, and don’t plan on running neither! I really enjoy spending time outside, and I am really enthusiast about this natural and cultural immersion!
It will be a pleasure to meet you too for a beer/coffee in Kathmandu to see if it could fit. Let me know when/where it would be the best for you!
Thank you,
Laurence
hey laurence!
yeah, sounds great!!! i’m hopefully moving to canada in november so hopefully you can give me some advice on the way around! ๐
send me a message with your number or facebook and we can organise something for when we are all in KTM!
Hi Tim !
I am planning to do the Annapurna circuit trek too. I wanted to start beginning of March but my dates are quite flexible so I could join you to start on the 7th. I wanted to walk quite slowly to enjoy the landscapes and take pictures as I am also a photographer. Let me know if we could meet to discuss the trek !
Hey Marie!!
I just arrived in Nepal. Iโm going to message everyone for a beer tomorrow and we can sort out all the details at lunch? Are you still keen?
Hi Tim,
I’m Sara from Germany, I’m a student of social work and I would like to do hiking at annapurna with a nice group around that date. I’m in nepal now and planing to spend some days in chitwan and then going to nepal. I would like to meet you and everyone here in pokhara.
Hey Sara! I am here now but very tired so will message you in the morning so we can organise a beer tomorrow!
Hey Sarah are you still interested in coming?
Hey Tim,
I would definitely been keen to join in on your trekking plans if you still have space for another partner. I have been volunteer teaching for the past 2 months in a village in Nepal but will be returning to KTM on March 8th, then heading to Pokhara soon after. If you’re starting on March 14th that would be ideal!
I’m not looking to rush through the trek and love the idea of adding in the lake and other side treks. I don’t have tons of experience with multi-week trips, but have lots of mountain experience. Originally from the Rockies in Colorado, but currently living in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada where I enjoy hiking, camping, climbing, and all that jazz.
Also, very interested to discuss the possibility of Tibet and Bhutan.
Please let me know when you’re planning to start your trek, and perhaps we can meet up to discuss a plan.
Cheers,
Audrey
Hey Audrey! I just arrived but am super tired from travelling so will rest tonight and contact everyone for a beer or cafe tomorrow! Are you still keen?
