Annapurna Circuit Trek
My name is Hannah, I’m Canadian, and currently travelling solo but in search of trekking partners. I’m looking to start trekking somewhere between the 24th and 30th of April (maayybe May 1st). I’m new to trekking at high altitudes but a huge camping and hiking lover and up for a challenge. I’d love to be pushed with a faster pace but also equally down to slow it down and take it easy. That being said, I need to be back in Kathmandu by the evening of the 13th. With an earlier start date I would hope to get from Besi Sahar to Naya Pul (16-18 days) and bus to Pokhara but with a later start date I would count on getting from Besi Sahar to Jomsom (12 days) and then flying or taking a bus back to Pokhara or Kathmandu.
Here’s a rough itinerary of the first 12 days:
Day 0: transport from Kathmandu to Besi Sahar (no trekking)
Day 1: Besi Sahar to Bhulbule (~3 h)
Day 2: Bhulbule to Ghermu (5-6 h)
Day 3: Ghermu to Tal (5-6 h)
Day 4: Tal to Chame (6.5-7.5 h)
Day 5: Chame to Upper Pisang (4-5 h)
Day 6: Upper Pisang to Manang via Ngawal (6-7 h)
Day 7: Acclimatisation day around Manang (plus maybe side trip around Manang for 2-3 days)
Day 8: Manang to Letdar (3.5-4.5 h)
Day 9: Letdar to Thorung Phedi (2 h)
Day 10: Thorung Phedi to Ranipauwa (6-8 h)
Day 11: Ranipauwa to Kagbeni (2.5-3 h)
Day 12: Kagbeni to Jomsom (2.5 to 3.5 h)
*Note: times indicated are trekking times not including breaks
*Note #2: super open to new ideas on this as it is straight from my lonely planet book
I’m open to hiring a guide if costs can be split between a group.
Currently living on the south end of Kathmandu and working in a small hospital. Down to meet up after work or on weekends!
