Annapurna Circuit Trek

Hi everyone!

I am planning to do the Annapurna Circuit starting from March 28th (+/- 2 days) – preferably from Besi Sahar all the way to Naya Pul. I need to return to Kathmandu on April 16th the latest. If someone would like to do a shorter trek – I am quite flexible with my itinerary so please message me anyway! ๐Ÿ™‚

A few facts about me: My name is Nicole, I am 28 years old and I am from Austria. I did long distance hikes before but not in such high altitudes. It would be great to find a trekking partner / trekking partners on this site to share this amazing trip with! ๐Ÿ™‚

I look forward to hearing from you!!

  1. Hi Nicole,
I am planning to do the Annapurna Circuit too and would be very happy to join you and share all the adventure ๐Ÿ™‚
My name is Katrin, I am from Germany and 24 years old. In my free time I like indoor climbing, being in the nature and I love to hike in the alps. I already did 3 day hikes, but not that long distance hikes in such high altitudes. But I am very excited for it! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
I will arrive in Kathmandu on 25th of March. So 28th oder 29th would be possible to start.
Hope to hear from you! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. P.S.: I replied in English so that other people, who want to join, can follow the posts ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Hi Katrin!
I am glad to hear from you! I actually arrive in Kathmandu on the 26th in the morning so it would be possible to start from 27th as well since you are in Kathmandu from 25th on already – I am quite flexible! ๐Ÿ™‚ On what date is your return flight? How do you feel about hiring porter/guide?

P.S. – good idea, the more the merrier of course ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi Nicole,
For me it would be better to start on 28th, because I want to spend at least one full day in Kathmandu. My flight back to Germany will be at 24th of April. But it’s no problem to return earlier, so that you can be in Kathmandu on the 16th. I would like to spend a few days in Pokara and Kathmandu or another region in Nepal after the trekking. And I think around 15-17 days for the trekking tour will be perfect for not be stressed or be in a hurry and enjoy the fascinating nature.

What are you planning about guide/porter? I think a guide would be good. About porter I still didn’t decide. But maybe it is useful to hire one porter for us together. In this altitude every kilogram counts…

  5. Great, 28th it is then! I think hiring at least a guide would be a good idea as well! I text you privately to discuss some more – if someone else likes to join too, everybody is welcome ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Hi guys! I am also looking to find trekking buddies to traverse the Annapurna Circuit with. Previously I have done 3 day hikes and very much enjoy nature, mountains and meeting the locals. (: The only issue is that I will be finishing a course in Kopan monastery in Kathmandu on the 28th so I was wondering if it would be possible to leave on the 29th? No problem at all if this will make it difficult for you guys to stick to your previous schedules etc, always worth an ask! I also think hiring a porter and guide would be a good idea. I have been on previous treks and I’m not sure I would have been able to carry all my stuff (and walk) without them! Also, a guide could potentially teach us much about the country and its customs…

    • Hey Dame, I was hoping to go trek the annapurna circuit at the end of march. Are you still looking for a partner? I am looking for an independent trek and I am open on the dates
      Let me know!

  7. Hi Dame – great to hear from you! Since I have to be back on April 16th the latest, I am not sure if it is possible to start later and still do the whole trek – but I am actually trying to change my flight to return a little later (without ending up paying too much)… I guess we could leave on the 29th then if this is alright with Katrin as well. Is it ok if we keep you updated? ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Yeah sure, just let me know. (:

  9. hi Nicole,my name is anoop from India. Me and my friend have decided to trek Annapurna circuit. we dont have trekking experience of high altitude. we decided to go on same date.Hope you don’t mind if we join your group. will you hire a guide ? are you flexible with date? reply asap ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Hello
Every body if you need help for arranging trekking in Nepal i would like help you thank you

  11. Should it be a trek starting from Besisahar, side trip from Manang to Tilicho lake, Thorung high passage partially ending at Muktinath, from where a bus or a jeep up to Tatopani. Trekking from Tatopani to Ghorepani, poonhill & up to Annapurna base camp / sanctuary trek, all the way down up to Kimche, ending just before nayapul & return to Pokhara by bus, please let me know.

  12. Hi Nicole (and Katrin),
I am also planning to do the Annapurna Circuit and i would be very happy to join up with you. A group of 3 or 4 people sounds perfect to me.
My name is Kasper, im 36 years old from the Netherlands. I fly to Nepal on the 26th of march and fly back on the 15th of march, so leaving the 28th sounds perfect to me.
I also did a few 3/4 day treks before, like the Salkantay trek in Peru. But never this kind of trek in the Himilayas, thatโ€™s why I want to do it now. I love to do sports and be outdoors. And im busy walking in all the hills around The Hague in The Netherlands to prepare ๏Š
I just found out about this site and I hope to hear from you soon,

  13. Hi everyone! Just to give you guys a quick update on what our plans are up to now: We intend to get our permits on the 27th, take a bus from Kathmandu to Besi Sahar on the 28th in the morning and finish the trek by April 14th or 15th the latest. We decided to hike without a guide or sherpa and take our time, also do some side treks. If anyone wants to join – let us know! ๐Ÿ™‚

@Kasper: If you would like to join our group it would be great, the more the merrier! ๐Ÿ˜‰ And I would love to hear about your hike in Peru!! We actually have a very similar flight schedule – I am flying to Kathmandu on the 26th as well and fly back to Austria on the 16th of March.

    • Hi everyone @ group. 28th, unguided & being in group seems perfect. If your group is still having vacancy, please nod to let me join.

    • Hi Nicole, Katrin & Kasper,

How big is the group by now? Still room for one 28-year old Dutch girl maybe? I’ll be staying in Bandipur the coming days and wanted to start the trek the 28th as well, so I could come straight Besi Sahar that day. I wasn’t planning on hiring a guide / porter. You still going without help as well? I have some experience with 1-3 days treks, but this will be my first multi week experience and would be great if I could join you! Hope to hear from you, thanks so much. Joska

  14. Great to see your reply. I expected to get an email notification, but didnt.
Your current plan sounds perfect. My flight should land the 27th at 10.45 am in Kathmandu. I expect i can fix the permits on that same day and can leave to Besi sahar on the 28th.
Personally im in favor of hiring a porter, but if necesary i could just do that for myself. Ill send you a message.
