Annapurna Circuit Trek

Hey guys – I’m an American guy planning to start the Annapurna Circuit on Nov. 20th. I’ve traveled all over, usually by bicycle, and have lots of experience with Trekking at high altitudes in Chile, Argentina, the U.S., Canada, and a little bit of Western Europe. I’ve never been to Nepal before though, and can’t wait to see what this beautiful country has to discover. I’m fit and tend to walk at a good clip but interested in going slow to acclimatize and take in the scenery. I’m arriving in Kathmandu Nov. 18th and want to take all day on the 19th to get permits, see the city, etc…then start on the 20th taking as many of the NATT trails to avoid the road whenever possible. I’m planning to stay in teahouses. I have until Dec. 9th so would like to consider doing Poon Hill or even possibly the Sanctuary trek at the end. We’ll see how it unfolds though…

I’d love to find some fellow warm, friendly, considerate, responsible and open-minded/hearted travelers to share this with. Cheers!

  1. Hey Jeremy, are you still looking for a partner? I lived in Colorado for over 10 years, just recently moved to my hometown Pokhara. I would love to do the circuit with you if circumstances allow.

    • Hi there, Yudhir! If you’re game for joining, I’m sure we’d be happy to have you. I’m just posting here to see if there are folks interested in joining up for a Nov. 20th (or close to it) departure . Egon from Austria has expressed interest and Lobke from I’m not sure where have reached out to me as well. Let’s stay in touch as details unfold and if we all want to walk together, I think that’s great! And cool that you live right there in Pokhara. 🙂

  2. Hey Jermey, just wrote you a persona message.

  3. Hey Jeremy,
Absolutely, lets stay in touch. I’d love to join you guys.

  4. Hi Jermey,
I am arriving on the 18th as well – 10:10am from Dubai – planning to stay in kathamdu for the 19th to start Annapurna Circuit Trek on the 20th – basically we have the same plan, despite i am staying in Nepal till the 27th of December, No rush for me, before heading to NY for New Year.

I wonder what is the best way to catch-up. shall we form a FB/Whatsapp Group for itinerary. Herein my FB – Also phone number 00971565665437 . it should be much easier to communicate rather than here.

  5. Hey Ahmed,

Wow – we arrive the same day and have a similar plan…sounds perfect! Nice that you have so much time. I’ll start a facebook group with the interested parties and we can chat it all out there. Looking forward to it!

  6. Hi Jeremy!
Also interested to join. And yes also arrive on the 18th. Did you start the facebook group?

  7. Hello to everyone interested in trekking together. I think it would be nice to get to know a little more about each other, our ideas and plans for the trek, and have an easier platform to communicate so I’m creating a facebook group just for the purpose. Please send your full name or friend me on FB (I can be found as Jerry Richardson at this link: ) and I will invite everyone to the group and we can get the planning underway. Cheers!

    • Hello Jerry, I have sent you a FB friend request.

  10. Hi Jeremy,
Do you have already further plans? I’m arriving in Kathmandu the 18th as well from Belgium, planning to go the 20th to Annapurna. Maybe we can do the busjourney together already and then see if I can follow your Pace? 🙂 You start from Pokhara?
