Annapurna Circuit Trek
I’m planning to do the Annapurna Circuit (finishing in Jomsom) or Annapurna Sanctuary trek from 2nd February. This date is flexible, but I need to be back in Kathmandu by 20th February for my flight home.
I’m very keen to pair up with other solo trekkers so as to avoid joining an organised trek, and to make it more of an independent adventure. I do however think it would be worthwhile having a guide/porter at this time of year.

Hey my girlfriend and I have a similar itinerary. We will only be arriving in Kathmandu on Feb 1st though. We are looking at doing an independent trek as well and would love to see if you could combine our plans. We’re both young and aren’t ready for an organized trekking tour just quite yet. Our flight out is on the 16th however so just curious if we could still make it work? Cheers

I am pretty keen on doing the Annapurna circuit or base camp treks around the same time (if not a little earlier) as you have mentioned. I also fly out on the 20th of Feb and was planning to get to Pokhara around the 28th of Jan after spending 4 days in Kathmandu. I have not organised much and was planning on meeting other travellers while I’m there, but i guess there is always that stupid little pre-trip doubt that a holiday may become uneventful and lonely. Ha. Anyway, i will be leaving Australia solo and would be keen to trek with some other adventurous people.
A friend of mine has just been to Pokhara and said the weather is a bit hit and miss for these trekking areas so i think you may be right about hiring a guide. Im pretty happy to play it by ear and see what it is like upon arrival and decide on a guide then.
Im not too worried about make any concrete decisions just yet but if you would like to get in touch over there, then let me know.

Hey im also very interested in doing Annapurna and at similar time. Didn’t want to become part of an orginized tour either but guide sounds like a good idea. I arrive in kathmandu on the 28th and was just going to make it up as I go along, but had the same thought as tom and decided to meet a few like minded people first.

I’m interested in doing the Annapurna Circuit and arrive in Kathmandu on the 1st of Feb. This is my first time in Nepal and my first time trekking so im looking to share the experience with some people and also share the costs of a guide. I’m reasonably fit and healthy so ill be able to travel at a moderate pace.

Hey I’m keen on doing the Annapurna circuit at the similiar time. I will be arriving in KTM on Feb 5. I also prefer an independent trek and would love to trek together with some other adventurous people. I need to be back in KTM by Feb 21 for my flight home. Cheers
